The Truth about Diamond Brands
Is there so-called Diamonds Brands?
This is one of the false believe that exist and based on illegitimate ground. Many people think that their branded diamonds are more valuable than other generic or other less-famous brand ones.
The truth is, diamonds are like gold. Hence, diamonds are simply cannot be branded. Just as gold that can be in different cuts, different grades, and different values, there are no such diamond with any specific brand.
Branding is actually based on who owns the diamond. For instance, if DeBeers owns the diamond, it is a DeBeers Diamond but it is still just a diamond. If the diamond was cut by a specific well known cutter, then it might be branded in that way as well but it usually isnt. It is still branded based on who owns it at the time. So basically, when it comes down to it diamond brands mean absolutely nothing at all.
Many jewelers try to exaggerate the diamonds value by saying to common customers that the price is more expensive since they came from specific brand. So, dont let this trickery fool you when buying diamond. DeBeers is just DeBeers, and thats it.
